Virtual Town Hall on
Law Enforcement Interactions with People Who Have Mental Health Conditions or Developmental Disabilities
L.A. County residents are invited to actively participate in a virtual town hall regarding the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department interactions with people who have mental health conditions or developmental disabilities. This virtual event is designed to create a safe space for community members to share their observations, thoughts & suggestions about:
- Law enforcement crisis response to incidents involving people who have mental health conditions or developmental disabilities
- Public safety needs of community members who have mental health conditions or developmental disabilities and their families
- Law enforcement efforts to effectively serve people
- Ideas & action items to reduce negative interactions or improve outcomes of these exchanges
- Other public safety issues affecting your family & community
- Things law enforcement is doing well.
